Supporting Greatness. Developing Opportunities.

ECG Institute For Utility Training

The ECG Institute is a combination of ECG’s Powerline School, Training and Safety, and Member Training Courses (soft skills) that focus on the entire developmental process of a Utility Professional.

We strategically designed courses to advance attendees through their careers. The suggested career path utilizes classroom, home study, and on-the-job training. The Career Progression Model illustrates an achievement path allowing your organization to evaluate the employee’s growth and aptitude for advancement.

The ECG Training and Safety and the Powerline School training is held at our two Georgia Training Centers, one in Adel and the other one in Newnan. Each facility is well equipped with a large classroom, underground resources, and an expansive pole yard to provide both in-class and field training to our students.

Our explicitly designed Soft Skills Programs maximize the skill set of public power personnel to become influential twenty-first-century leaders. Attendees can expect to develop competencies that will enhance their professional development in leadership, communication, excellent customer service, and problem-solving, to name a few. A list of our current classes is listed below.

WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!

Given the current workforce challenges, employers have found it difficult to acquire the required skillsets needed to improve and maintain daily operations. To help our members with these challenges, we thought it best to offer technical and soft skill courses that will upskill and reskill utility professionals through industry-related courses. Please take a few moments to take our ECG Member Training Survey.
