Exciting progress is underway for Electric Cities of Georgia (ECG) as we prepare to break ground on our state-of-the-art ECG Training Institute Facility this month. This transformative development, located in the Indian Springs Business Park in Forsyth, GA, marks a major milestone in our mission to serve and equip public power communities across the state.

This new, state-of-the-art facility will serve as the hub for:
🔹 ECG’s Department of Labor-Certified Lineman Apprenticeship Program
🔹 ECG’s Powerline School
🔹 Interpersonal Skills Training for Utility Pros
🔹 Ad hoc Utility Training Classes
🔹 ECG Board Meetings

This new facility is not just bricks and mortar—it represents our commitment to investing in the next generation of utility professionals. Oldham Design, Inc., and the ECG Training Institute Sustainability Committee—each united by a shared vision to enhance workforce development, expand local opportunities, and drive economic growth.

A special thank you to the ECG Board of Directors for their strategic direction, approvals, and steadfast oversight. Their leadership was essential in meeting key milestones and ensuring the project aligned with the goals and values of ECG’s membership, ensuring construction began on schedule.

We look forward to keeping you updated as the construction progresses. Stay tuned for more as we build a space dedicated to training, growth, and the future of public power in Georgia.
