Edge Development

Edge Development is a program as unique as Georgia's Energy Cities. Designed specifically for the board/elected officials and senior staff of communities with enterprise operations, it provides the tools and support they need to lead their communities to prosperity. With an emphasis on strategy, industry experts introduce a no-nonsense, customizable approach to improving a community's quality of life through vision, planning and focused leadership.

The strategic model employed is highly sophisticated and targeted yet designed to be flexible enough to ensure a trajectory of robust growth for years to come based on each community's individual goals.

Edge Course Curriculum

Edge Development emphasizes strategy and presents a no-nonsense, customizable approach to improving a community's quality of life through vision, planning and focused leadership.

To prepare for the strategic planning process, board/elected officials and senior staff participate in separate leadership training tracks to help them excel in the special roles they play to promote the sustainable economic growth and financial health of their communities. Classroom learning opportunities incorporate case studies to reflect the realities of community and economic development in Georgia today and use facilitative techniques to ensure the active engagement of all participants.
